Jewellery comes to life when worn, where light meets the wearer’s skin，creating a ‘jewellery space’ This interaction between the body, the wearable object, and the light creates a dynamic and immersive experience, redefining what jewellery can be.
Using intangible elements like light as the primary material deconstructs and reshapes the traditional concept of jewellery. It prompts us to think about the characteristic of jewellery and the materials we use to create it. Traditional jewellery relies on the eternal value of gemstones and precious metals. In contrast, designing jewelry with light, an intangible element, blurs the boundaries of materiality and redefines the essence of what jewelry can be.
This approach challenges us to reconsider the true value of jewellery: Is it the rarity and permanence of its materials, or the fleeting sensory and emotional experiences it provides?
